First Auto cross with M240
I went to first auto cross with M240 last weekend and it was ton of fun.
Car did a lot better than I thought it would be. 3rd out of 7 car and 29th overall among 76 cars was not bad considering the driver. lol (it's been 8 yrs last time I did this) I did not experience too bad of understeer. Front tire was screaming a lot for sure. So I had to make sure to brake only in straight. No trail breaking. The car was surprisingly tail happy for the x drive. Back end slides out quite a bit with DSC off. Without LSD, x drive helped quite a bit to shoot out of the corner with little bit of slide. I have no idea how people running front pressure below 40 psi in front. I was running 45 psi in front and getting up to 48 psi after couple of runs. Rear was fine with 35 psi. MSPP has way too soft side wall for auto x. It felt like jelly in front even at that high pressure. lol After I wear it out, I may get 225/45 17 square setup with RE71 or star spec 3. It will be next year I guess. Overall, it's not very competitive car in FS but still a lot of fun. I just wish this car comes with at least 8" wide rim in front. Then it will run pretty close to those E90 M3. Last edited by TajoMan; 04-24-2018 at 03:00 PM.. Reason: adding a picture |
