Alignement change winter tire

Hi guys
I have a m550i 2018.I went to the dealer to change my winter to Summer tire.
They did charge me a alignement...do we have to do alignement?
On the bill it Say that the alignement is à demand from Bmw
Do i have to do that .
First Time in my Life!!

Are your winters and summers different sizes? My local dealer told me that BMW "requires" wheel alignment when putting on wheels with different size. Another dealer told me BMW "recommends" it. Not sure about whether it is necessary, but I ended up doing one because I have driven over many potholes during the winter.
