Small Radiator issue.
Hello fellow forum members,
I am currently running into an issue with my 2017 X1, a rock hit the small radiator by the driver side and it leaked all the radiator fluid with a message saying park now engine is overheated, I took it in to the shop and they have just called me to tell me that it is not covered in the warranty! Does that sound about right?

Unfortunately yes, that does sound right. Accidental damage is not a warranty issue. It’s annoying, but not unusual for this type of damage to occur. Sorry pal!

Thank you for your reply YellowCone, It does make sense though. Same logic as if a rock hits your windshield or headlight, it is not a manufacturer issue. Thanks again.

I've tie wrapped black window screening material, trimmed to just fit the grille outline, in front of the lower grilles, I did it to prevent bug clogging of the "hot climate" radiator in front of the left wheel and the intercooler but it would also stop pebble strikes. |
