Those who made the switch to 19's

I think 19's on the 2 give it a more substantial look and stance and I am looking to make that move.

For those who have made the move
did the car feel noticeably slower?
was the difference in ride quality substantial?

I am hoping the answer is no to both questions and I can make my 240i look a little more like an M2

Going to do the same... Going with VMR V710FF (the FF's are a few lbs lighter than their standard wheels), and doing everything I can to keep the combo as light as possible.

Have the same questions though.

I'm going with 19's.

These ForgeStar are really light <= 20lbs.

I recent switched to 19's
Vmr v705
255/30/19
225/35/19

The car is not noticeably slower, still pulls hard!

Ride quality is a little bumpy, especially in sport.
Nothing unbearable. I don't mind it at all, my girlfriend notices it from the passenger seat. But then again she thought the stock 18's were bumpy. Roads in Newfoundland are not great.

Hope this helps.

Any questions ask away

Don't think the car would be slower, same revolutions per mile.

Just don't hit any bumps or potholes!

Garage List
Revolutions per mile depends on the wheel/tire combo actually. But no, car is not noticeably slower at all. The ride is a tad bumpier but not unreasonable for the wheel/tire size used. I'd do it again regardless, but I'd chose different wheels. Ones that have friendlier offsets for the 2er.

xdrive on stock suspension:
235/35/19 et39
265/30/19 et44

Front is flush, back has a little poke, but not noticable unless really trying to look at it.
