Ambient lighting

I’ve a 2016 25d msport
Can anyone tell me if it normal that the ambient lighting in the doors is meant to be brighter on the rear doors than the front, I’ve been into the settings and can adjust the brightness but this just does them all

Mine is the same too, but what is disappointing is that there are only the two (red or white) lighting effects. I had thought, prior to delivery, there would be several options for the output colour.

I'm curious as well. I wonder if there is any way to retrofit ones off maybe an X3 or something, somehow?

Agree shame about colours, mine stays red as think white too subtle & doesn't look great. Blue would be a good one if can change but doubt can

If you have rear tinted windows, the rears will appear brighter, compared to the front as more natural light comes in the.

I have read in another forum that is possible to retrofit via coding other colors. But, since I don't have ESYS cable I cant confirm. Please see this link: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1205119

It would be great if someone could test/code other colors, orange looks so boring and outdated.

Go into your idrive, settings, lights and if it’s white it will show sport, click on it and you get off classic(orange) and sport(white). You can also increase / decrease the brightness
