Flat run flat, unserviceable

Dealer is charging about $330 for replacement.

Only 4000 miles on the tire. Any options?

I'm loving my Conti extremecontactsports (nonRFT), a nice improvement over the summer RFT Conti's it came with. And I think the whole set cost about $700 from a local place (was right about even w/ Tire Rack). And of course, the MPSS or MP4s that they come with for another 100 or so, but I'm a long-time Conti fan.

Fantastic tire, I have them on my DD, 13 Acura TL-AWD. Only thing I don't like is they flat spot a little bit over night. First few miles of my commute have some vibration.

Could not AGREE more!! the Conti extremecontactsports (nonRFT) is a GREAT option for the f22!! They completely change the dynamics of the car.

IMHO...with the OEM Conti RFT's, the car was really rough and jaring. Since going with the Conti extremecontactsports (nonRFT) tires, the drive is smooth and precise. The grip in dry/wet is fantastic...IMHO!!

The cost for the RFT's is just ridiculous!! Keep in mind, that if you go with nonRFT's, then you'll want a spare tire or pump/slime kit for emergencies.

Funny that you say this - I sometimes suspect the same, then talk myself out of it (that it is just rippled pavement - it is always the same stretch on my commute). I haven't paid attention to the few times I drive it warmed up, so now I have a new 'project'.

Yup, doesn't matter if I leave the car overnight, or for a week without driving it, the flat spot tendencies are exactly the same.

I'm about 3/4 of a mile from the highway, and there's an exit 2 miles down the road, and another exit will be 5 miles down the road. Usually the flat spotting will be present once I get up to highway speed, fading by the first exit, gone by the second exit.

If you have a longer drive on city roads, you might not even notice it.
