2008 M3 Exhaust

It is obvious by the amount of information you can find on this form that the people here know their BMW’s.

So here is my question… (Which I’M SURE has been presented here before):

With all the different manufactures of exhaust systems which system has PROVEN to be the best?

I am looking to change the exhaust on my 2008 M3 from the CAT back (from the CAT back will not void manufacture warranty).

Cost is not really a concern (don’t take that the wrong way… YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and I want what is best for the car form the sound and performance stand point).

Thank you in advance for your replies.

to be honest, from my understanding performance gain from exhaust change is minimal. it's all a matter of which system sounds the best to you.

Seems like longtube headers and cat deletes would definitely improve power. But hey I could be wrong.

+1

Also don't forget about Swamp2 chiming in with his usual " I would be concerned about altering the aerodynamics of the underside of the car"

In any case, why is this in the general section when we already have a section and a sticky on this very topic.

Is there anyone who is local to the Covina area and has made an exhaust modification that I might be able to meet to hear the modified exhaust?
The “youtube” clips are great; however there is no substitution for hearing the exhaust in person.
Thank you again.
