Bill dodge wants $350 to install my alarm. Who's cheaper?
I bought an OEM Alarm on eBay (from Bill Dodge) when live had a 35% cashback deal, and it is being shipped to me. I went in and asked what the install would cost. I had been told $99 a while back, but the service manager told me it would $350-$400 to install it. WTF?
Anyone know of someone who will do it for less? TIA

I think most dealers charge an hour's labor (~$100 or slightly more) to activate an already installed alarm. Installing and activating is a more costly afair.

Just do it yourself. The only hard part is to take off the rear wheel and fender liner. You can have a more mechanically inclined friend to help you. Then you can ask the dealer to program it for you. They will probably charge you one hour of labor for it.

You think they can hook it up to the computer while I'm in for service next time? its only 4000 miles away, and they said the cost was in the time the computer took...
