Optimal Tire pressure
I have a 335i with Bridgestone Potenas RFT, sport package, Fronts are 225/40/18 88W and rears are 255/35/18 90W. The car door says to put in 35/240 air pressure in the fronts and 39/270 in the rears.
The manual says to put in 32/220 air pressure in the fronts and 38/260 in the rears assuming a speed upto 100 miles and hour. It says to put in what the door says if you are traveling over 100 miles. Which pressure is optimal. Also, when the dealer puts air in, do they use nitrogen or do they use normal air. Does it make a difference. Please share your thoughts. |
