Dinan Stage 1 Performance question

Hi folks,

So, just picked up my M240i on Monday. Of course, I love the car, though it is not perfect. Wish the steering had more feel, HK audio was a little better, and ConnectedDrive in Canada didn't suck. All of these, however, I can live with or will provide mods for.

One thing that does bug and surprise me a little (as I don't think I've seen mention of on the forums) is the turbo lag. It is my first turbocharged engine so maybe it just is what it is, however, I am surprised that in all the years of engine building with turbos, that this hasn't been eliminated. Its not horrible for sure, but noticeable.

So, my question is, with the Dinan Stage 1 tune, does the lag get diminished? I know there are other tunes out there and folks are hard core on one side or the other, however, I am really only going to consider the Dinan so comments on the JB4 or others really don't matter much in my case.

Thanks

In my opinion I feel more throttle lag than I do turbo lag and its the worst in comfort mode.

I have the Dinan stage 1 and things do feel better than stock.

Car feels best when in Sports + mode regardless of stock or on Dinan stage 1.

Is there a difference in throttle response/lag between sport and sport+? I thought the only difference was turning the nannies off in sport+

Turning the nannies off is what helps the throttle lag. The traction control delays or dampens throttle response to keep you from loosing traction. Hell in my Diesel Colorado truck I can notice a huge difference when I turn off traction control.
