IBS Programming

i just got a new ibs sensor with the negative battery cable. dealer told me the new sensor must be coded to the car after installing it or it will not work. it is not a plug and play swap. does anyone have any knowledge of how to do this? a step by step with inpa or ncsexpert would be great if possible

Sounds like BS It wouldn't hurt to at least register the battery.
Why did you need a new one?

Have you checked the ground strap from the engine to chassis.

Low on the driver's side of the engine bay. Locate where the steering column meets the rack, then look behind that. It's a braided metal (copper?) strap running from the frame to the engine block.
