Maybe a silly question but - Can you fit a set of 19s in the car with rear seats down
Hey all,
I'd like to have a dedicated set of track wheels for my incoming M2c, however a lot of tracks are fairly far away and I'd rather run street tires to drive there. I'm curious if anyone has successfully fit a set of 4 19s in their truck/rear area without issue? I'd really only need that, and my jack/cordless impact which I think I could put on the front pass seat floor without much issue Thanks |

Yup.
If you’re square, wheel specific wheel placement isn’t as important. If you’re staggered, stack the two front tires behind you, lean one of the rears behind the passenger, and lay the other rear in the trunk. Still leaves room for a passenger, tools, and weekend gear. A set of tire covers helps to keep wheels from getting scratched and track debris in your car. I can’t remember for sure, but I don’t think you can get all four in the back seat by standing them upright. Maybe I didn’t try bc I wanted visibility out the rear when I was driving. |

I stand up my four 265/18 wheels in the back seat on the way to the track. I have to move the driver seat forward an inch from the ideal position. I still have 70% visibility through the rear window. I tried other combinations (i.e back seat folded down) but nothing else worked. I need the trunk free for other gear.

It alł fits. I usually drive my streets to the track and pack my 18s in the back( four across with seat folded down) .Sometimes I will drive home with the 19 streets in the back....they can also sit upright, four across, depending on seating position or 3 in back seat and one in trunk....lots of room for tools and helmet bag, etc. I bought tire carriers and felt faces to keep it clean, plus easier to lift. Get rubber wheel " wedges" ( Harbour Freight) to place under the front of each upright tire to keep them from rolling forward if you hard brake.....others use ratchet straps to hold in place to keep from shifting.

FYI, I use Square 18x9" wheels with 265 wide tires. Plenty of room.

I don’t see how you can see out the rear and side glass with 265/295/30/19 standing four up, so I stuck with the config in my original reply. |

Yes - rear seat up with all tires stacked upright. I put an old blanket on the rear seat and I have each tire in a tirerack tire tote.

Op
Rear seats down 1 flat wheel in the trunk; 1 wheel flat in the centre rear seats fold down; from both doors, place a wheel either side leaning against centre wheel. No visibility issues and no aches or strains handling wheels in and out. BP
