Can you use a usb cable with this coding for CarPlay? Does this usb mode have an iOS requirement like the wireless version does? (9.3 or newer) I recently tried to check CarPlay at my dealer and my 9.0.2 phone wouldn't work obviously.

Anyone had digital cockpit cluster faults once CarPlay is enabled via USB? Since updated, every now and again, I’ve had the digital cluster part of the dash fail to come alive? As in no speedo, clocks etc? Idrive is still alive and working fine, rebooting the idrive makes no difference to the digital cockpit.
Lock car for a while or disconnect battery and it springs back to life? Curious to k kw if this is related to CarPlay or meanly coincidence? Any help appreciated |

Not the heads up, I'm talking the actual digital cockpit (speedo, Rev counter, temp gauge etc) or dash as you'd call it. Still an ongoing issue
