M550i - Anthacite Alcantara Headliner Standard?
Is the Anthracite Alcantara Headliner (suede like headliner) standard on the M550i? I want to make sure my car has this as I recently placed an order for 1...but it wasn't listed as an option. The list of standard features on BMW's website says Anthracite headliner is standard...but is silent on if it's Alcantara or not...so I'm assuming maybe it isn't standard. What's interesting is the few M550's I've been in at my dealer all had the suede headliner...but I'm still unclear if that was standard or an option.
I've got my SA looking into it for me...so hopefully we know more on Monday. Any thoughts?

No - it is not standard. Ask your SA to add it, if its not too late... I don't recall what the exact cost was on my 2018, but it seems like it was -$600. If you want the leather dash, that is an option as well.

Yes - I have the leather dash added at $750. I have time to add the Alcantara...I'm just unclear how it is done...since it doesn't show as an option on BMWUSA.com. I was talking to my SA about it yesterday and will circle back with him on Monday after he returns from the M performance driving program they are doing in Austin this weekend for employees.

Just looked at the ordering guides for 2018 and 2019 - it was option code 776 ($650) for 2018, but it's not listed at all in the 2019 guide... Hopefully it still available!

Hopefully my dealership can get it added similar to doing a individual exterior color that isn't offered on BMWUSA's website (i.e., a frozen color).

For whatever it is worth, and everyone is different, I have the nappa luxury seats and the leather dash but the regular anthracite headliner and I don't miss the Alcantera one. To me, the regular headliner looks fine.

Having been in a 2018 M550 with the alcantara headliner, I REALLY like the way it looks. And if the price is still in the $650 range, I think it is a worthwhile option. Hopefully my SA will come through this morning with getting it added somehow (as it doesn't appear it's a normal option for 2019).

The Alcantra headliner is a subtle upgrade that helps raise the premium level of the interior especially when combined with the leather dash option. This is especially true on a light colored interior where it is more notable.
Considering one spends all the time behind the wheel, the upgraded material is noticeable, especially on the windshield pillars.

Just heard from my SA. Effective May 1, BMW removed the Alcantara option for the M550s due to supplier capacity constraints. He forwarded me the e-mail from BMW NA to all dealers stating as such. NOT GOOD NEWS. I'm hoping there is a way to still do it through the individual program...so will keep people posted on what I learn.

I even had other dealers reach out to BMW NA to see if others might be able to get it approved...and all were told "NO".

Interesting this is the second option that's being quoted as supply constrained. I ran into the ZPP / ZP2 and ZPK issue with ZPP missing ZPK because of inability to source. Had to specifically add ZPK. BMW USA configurator reflects this, but not the ordering sheet.
