Thumbs up BANG!

BANG!

This is the sound of me finally pulling the trigger on a E90 after too many months of lurking.

Ordered:

2006 330i
TiAg/Black Dakota/Al
ZSP/ZPP/ZCW
Step
NAV
Comfort Access
PDC
Sat. Radio Prep.
---
Will be taking ED hopefully on 5/12 and then cruising down into Italy for 10 days.

The only thing that sucks, is that this will be my wife's daily driver to replace her SLK. I'm still amazed she went for it given that this is my dream car. I guess I must be doing something right Had to get Step. for her commute, but I get to hold on to my manual WRX in the garage to keep up the skills
---

I am still struggling with is color. We really wanted black, but after reading about all the issues folks are having with swirls, maintenance and cleanliness, I chose TiAg (not really a fan of SG). Hope I won't regret this - it's beautiful, but oh so, well, ahem, common. I mean, erm, popular...

Oh, and this wait is killing me. Just 24hrs since putting down the deposit and already every other word out of my mouth is BMW related. The wait for redelivery will be worse, I know it... It's a labor of love I guess.

Congrats and welcome aboard!

Nice combination there, I'm sure you won't regret your choice on silver.

I have black sapphire at the moment and it shows every little scratch and is very hard to be kept clean.

Enjoy your trip to europe!

Cheers!

You are going to have a blast on your ED. By the way, since you have the nav, you are probably going to want to buy a Europe nav disc (which does not come with the car). I bought one while doing my ED for thanksgiving. I cannot tell you how important it is. You also have to buy it before going there, they don't have them for sale at the ED site. While on the autobahns, there are no streetlights on the roads or for the signs. If you are driving while it is foggy, hard rain, etc., good luck getting where you want to go. It was snowing so hard one day that I could not see 20 feet in front of me, but had the nav saying stay in the right lane, exit 1000 feet to A5, etc. If you would like, I can sell you my disc since it is just sitting in my desk drawer.

Well it looks like I'm not going to learn from your experience with the black - we changed our order. TiAg is beautiful but black is just sooo trick we felt we would be compromising too much with silver. It's not everyday you buy a $40k car, so let's make it EXACTLY what we want.

Now where do you buy Zaino....?

Since you're going on ED you would definitely be advised to check out Bimmerfest. They have a GREAT ED forum. As for the Nav disks for Europe, Beewang, one of the mods in the bimmerfest ED forum rents out the disks for use on ED trips. You can find almost every single aspect of ED there.
(Now I must hide from Mark and Jason for cross advertising!! )

Hey thanks! I've been lurking over at Bimmerfest too. ED was the main reason we got Nav. Couldn't bear the thought of those EU roads without it.

I'm already on Beewangs list for a DVD rental.

This wait is unbearable!!!
