Purchased a Vorsteiner CSL Boot Lid!!!

Purchased a Vorsteiner CSL Carbon fiber Boot Lid from Nick @ JLeviSW... should i paint it completely white? or leave the CF Lip? I love the look that IND went with leaving the Lip Carbon and the rest of the trunk white. , Your input is appreciated!

All white for a couple reasons. First off, you'll probably be the only one with an all white one. Second, although carbon fiber is cool, too much is tacky and it's definitely not as clean of a look as if you paint it all white.

Paul,

Vorsteiner will be shipping your bootlid today or tomorrow! I would definitely leave some exposed CF, you paid for it after all

Here is a cool scheme that Kevin, another customer of ours, recently did:

I have to agree...all white. The CF on the lip almost looks out of place to me.

I would do the fade like Nick's suggested- it's unique and definitely does not look out of place.

fading paint only looks good on black. white looks ghetto.

since ur going to be just like every other person u might as well leave the lip in CF just like every other person.

if you have a cf roof leave the lip carbon or faded carbon like in the picture shown above. if you have a sunroof paint the whole thing. Personally i prefer the faded carbon.

Go with whatever you like and don't worry about other people having cars that look like yours. Chances are the only time you would ever see your car's "twin" is at a Bimmer Event with 100's of cars or on the internet. Since buying my M3 I haven't seen one like mine and it's 100% stock (I know that will change as years go by). That said my mother bought an Audi S8 about 18 months ago and I have only ever seen 2 other ones vs. my brother's Merc S550 in which I see at least 2 every day.

Question where are you gonna get it done?

It's really hard to find a good quality automotive tuning and modification center. Where are you getting it done?

The boot lid will look awesome on your car! Make sure you post pictures

I'm still waiting for a fitment for my E90 M3. I've been told that one will come out late this fall (FYI for those who have an E90).

Enjoy it!

Here is the link to the product page, I believe that Alpine White one is a single sided. The only difference between the two is that the double sided will have CF on the underside of the boot that's visible when you open the trunk.

With a CF roof I think all carbon boot would look good if you are doing the hood in all CF, otherwise all white bootlid looks cleaner IMO.
