F80 diff swap?
Hello,
A f80 diff has popped up in my local Craigslist's and I'm trying to find out if it's a clean swap into a f30 335i. Tried googling it but can't find any clean answers, has anyone heard or know if this swap is possible? |

No. It's electromechanical. You also don't have the same wiring/electronics to run it.

Hmm, I wonder if running it "unpowered" means it acts 100% mechanical.

No, these "e-diffs" work by electronically actuating a clutch pack that is completely open in its default state. There's no easy way to do it and it'd be of very little use to you if it could even fit.
