Should I bring my M3 to MN?

I’m from CA. Potentially looking at doing a year long special assignment in New Brighton MN coming up soon.

Should I bring my car over (no winter wheel setup)?
I don’t know if I can live without my car for a year

No winter wheels? Just leave your M3 in Cali. You will not survive a MN winter with summer tires and RWD.

Bring her very soon as there is a forecast of snow this weekend. Good luck and hopefully you don’t get caught with summer tires on.

Winter tires for our cars are generally required anywhere between November (maybe October, not usually) and sometime to April. It's a great state, but the rumors are true, the winters here are long and they suck.

Welcome by the way.

Fitting. Gonna leave it here

You can usually drive on summer tires when the temps are regularly above 45F

Up here this week to scope things out. Rain on black roads at night... hard to see lane markings make for fun driving. Good thing it’s a rental.

I've driven on my PSS and whatever the Contis are in below freezing weather with no issues. But, if there is any kind of precip falling either rain or snow it becomes a skid pad real quick.

Yeah. Transfer not happening. I had other life issues come up so I’ll stay in the Prop 65 state

Aside from winter tires I drop back down to stock tune and more power reduction in 1st/2nd/3rd. Basically hold out for those rare nice days to have fun :/
