Wheel Powdercoating?

Does anyone have a recommended shop that does wheel powdercoating?

Has anyone in our neck of the woods had their wheels powdercoated? It seems as though there are more options on the the left coast.

I just got my Matte Grey Breyton Race GTS powdercoated to polished silver face with shadow inlays. $120 per rim and it came out fantastic. The company is called RimPro. PM me for more info.

Thanks for the response guys,

Ice/Ken: quite an interesting scenario we have here! I have admired the look of your rims for quite a while now, both in person and in pics.

I am currently entertaining the thought of getting my rims powdercoated to a matte black or matte gunmetal finish vs. glossy black.

Here are my reservations about doing it: 1) I am wondering how the finish holds up to curbage 2) how the finish holds up when tires are removed from a tire shop 3) if I will get sick of the look 4) wife's opinion.

maybe we could meet up so that I can check out the time attack and to see if we are mutually interested in a swap.

Feel free to PM me

`Kevin

+1 on RimPro in Tewksbury.

I've posted about them before. Their work is absolute perfection. Make sure to let them know you're just powdercoating all four, not fixing. Fixing they true up, etc. They should make you some sort of deal. I almost did this with my 161's.

+1 RimPro is the shit

They did such a job on my old Mayas. Also Jan (Janix) suggested this in NH:

Finish doesn't hold up well to curbing, it will flake right off

Don't know about #2... #3 you might get sick of it, depends on your taste

4) good luck

no way man! - you clearly have control of your car tuning ability. You have had free reign to change just about everything: from rims, headliners, bodykits, and even from an e90 to an e92!

I have gotten vetoed on CF interior, black rims, and lowering springs!
