e46 m3 wheel question

Will 19 inch wheels from an e46 m3 have any chance at all fitting on an e90? Wheels are 19x10 in the rear, 19x8.5 front? Let me know~

Try a search, plenty of M3 to e90 wheel threads. Also, you have to be alot more specific when asking a question after searching. What is done to your car? ZSP? Lowering more? We also need to know what kind of wheels and offsets your talking about. M3 wheels could mean alot of things.

The wheels are BBS LM's off of a 2003 e46 m3. I'm awaiting the offset from the seller. I just wanted to know in general if they have any chance of fitting. I hope so.

In general, M3 fitment will fit, but you will probally have to roll the fenders. If your low, rolling fenders may not be enough to prevent rubbing. The M3 fitments are about 5mm or 10mm shy of being perfect for the e90.

Thanks alot. If e46fanatics would send me my verification email, then I'd be able to ask the seller the questions I need to. But for some reason I haven't received my verification email.

Are you gonna lower your xi lower than H&R Sports or Eibach Sportlines? If so, I say no go. If not, then maybe with some body modifications.

Check HERE
for pretty much the same setup. His rims are 19x10, +23. He lowered his car with pro-kit springs. He had to roll the rear fenders, and you can see, his car is not that low. The +25's that you are considering are 2mm less, but that's not enough.

It seems as though these wheels will fit. The lowest I plan on going is H&R sports, but for the time being I won't have any form of drop. I also have the fender rollling tool, so I will roll the fenders for good measure anyways. If the wheels he bought fit and they are +23 I think these will fit, no?

I wouldn't do it. But if you want, it seems like it's doable! Good luck!

Well you seem like the guy to ask and who knows about these cars the best. I'm an e36 guy, have been for years and I'm new to the offset and clearances of the e90. So I gotta ask, why wouldn't you do it?

Only because the prospect of rubbing defeat's the purpose for me. I don't want any body mods done to make way for rims. Take a look at the picture below, it's on a e90, that's dropped. That's why I wouldn't do it. Exact specs as you, BTW.

Funny, those are the exact wheels I'm looking at... Your good man.. reading my mind and sh*t... haha... I agree with you on the fact that rubbing defeats the purpose but, without a major drop, these wheels should be fine on my car. At least thats what I've gotten out of the discussion. How much do you think the car above is dropped??? It sure looks a lot lower than I would ever intend on going. But Danny, Thanks for all of your help and suggestions they are greatly appreciated.

Also, what would you pay for a slightly used set of those LM's? They are custom painted from the factory. They are in mint condition and sitting in boxes right now. No tires included.

I think that car is dropped more than 3 inches in the rear and 2.5 inches in the front. They should be fine with a minimal drop, but no lower and a rear fender job.

If they are mint mint, then I wouldn't mind paying close to or 3g's.

He's askin 3800. He states they are practically brand new still in the original boxes and custom powdercoated from BBS. Here's a link. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=348320

I wouldn't do it, for price and fit issues, but they look nice! Post pics if you get them!

I'm going to see if I can talk him down. If I can get him down to around 3500 I'll do the deal just because of the rareness of the color combo. We'll see how things turn out.
