How's your MPG in this hawt summer weather?

Another pointless thread as I'm getting ready to eat dinner.

Just filled her up about an hour ago and got a new low..17 MPG. I usually get about 20 MPG. Having the A/C on full blast to battle the SoCal weather really beat up the number.

I'm still not going to try all of these crazy methods posted to get 1 or 2 more MPG though, like driving with windows closed with no A/C, turn off the car at longer stop lights, etc.

Too distracting, I hate the way it goes from 5MPG to 99MPG simply because you let go of the gas pedal.

I hardly redline the car now because of the traffic.

i have a 325i and use 25-26mpg. i drive mostly on the freeway at 65mph and look at the mpg gauge more often than the speedometer.

Was getting 25-26 mpg per tank in the cooler weather. A/C on all the time appears to have dropped my average to about 24 mpg.

i get around 19-20. its hot as balls in Houston, very humid as well, and traffic sucks. give or take a mile or 2 per gallon depending on how bad traffic is or if i do late night drives in cooler weather and open freeways.

I use A/C almost all the time (year-round) and I am not worried about MPG vs. A/C usage.

6mt is the way to go to save gas. I average 24.6 mpg on 70% city and 30% hwy and dont drive slow. (average 45mph on city roads)

I had a 328xi for a week (automatic) and drove the same roads I do with my 335coupe and averaged 21 mpg.

Drove to CT last week from Pittsburgh, PA and averaged 28.6 mpg

Dont know if the "soft" break in up to 1200 miles helped but I am very happy.

Golf tee mod is awesome!

In the cooler months I've been averaging 26 - 27 mpg. (75% freeway) It dropped about 1 -2 since the hot stuff came - all due to A/C which I really try to only run at freeway speed.

I use to not be. I get around 20-23. I realized I needed to try to be a little better on the throttle. I usually save my liberal driving for after I pass 1/4 left.
