BMW.com Software Update Site: Invalid VIN
https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html now requires a fill 17 digit VIN. Last time I downloaded iDrive update only last 7 digits were required.
Entering first VIN for 2017 BMW 440i. "The VIN you have entered is invalid. Please check your vehicle registration certificate." Entering second VIN for 2015 BMW X5. Same message. Did anyone have success downloading iDrive update recently? |

Accepts my VIN and shows I'm up to date. Which a joke since the last update was 2014 for my 2013 F30 for IOS 5. Hey, BMW we are currently running IOS 12!! Worthless as "tits on a Boar"!

Everytime I enter the VIN, I get: "An error has occurred. Please try again later." It told me that last week also. The funny thing is, if I change the last number of the VIN by 1, it comes up as my model with a slightly different VIN, and updated software. Apparently, the update site is still a little "buggy".

Is there not a contact us on the page? The only people that can solve the issue are the people that maintain the site and feature. The site accepts my vin but flags that there’s nothing for my car.
