Base stereo upgrade questions
Hi, i have the base stereo and i would like to fit new component speakers in the front doors and new under seat woofers, along with an amplifier. I already have a 4 channel amp and i’m planning to fit a 4 channel line output converter to the front door speaker outputs and the under seat woofer outputs behind the headunit.
Are the front door speaker and under seat woofer outputs from the headunit full range? Also is it possible to fit a 5.25” driver to the front doors with a MDF speaker ring with or without modifying the door card? And lastly where do you guys get a remote turn on signal from? Thanks |

Replacing the speakers will have little to no effect. The speakers aren't the problem, the lack of decent amplification and EQ is. Read this:

Yeah first thing i am going to do is fit an amplifier, a JL Audio HD600/4. With 4x150wrms should power the under seat woofers adequately and be more than enough for a set of components.

Just keep in mind the under seat woofers are woofers, not subs. The only way to get a major improvement over them is with a trunk mounted sub.
