Oil around spark plugs

Had to change the spark plugs on 2011 X3 28I, found oil in the the spark plug hole on two different cylinders.
Wounding if the valve covers gasket leaking at this area.

Quite likely leaking VCG; fairly common issue.
If you do the replacement yourself go easy on removal of the valve cover- it's plastic and will crack if one levers/prys with much force on it during removal.

If the old gasket had been in there since day one it may be quite hard/brittle and feel almost as if it's fused to the cover. Go easy.
