GAP insurance
Morning
Quick question - in the event of a non fault total loss would GAP cover the balance of the insurance premium that is being deducted from the insurance co settlement figure? I am presuming not but thought I would ask. Cheers Virge Ps this is not for myself thankfully

Definate no I'm afraid, there is no loss as such as you agreed a contract of motor insurance over a 12 month period and from day one that was the premium for the contract. The policy will always state all the premium is due if a loss occurs.
What your insurer should allow however is for you to put a new vehicle on your existing policy until renewal arrives, with just a change of premium if the car differs etc.
