Hi everyone,

In my US-spec F31 (Leder Dakota/sattelbraun Exklusivna - LCLX, Seat Adjustm., Electr. W. Memory) the sensor mat for passenger detection got faulty - with the passenger seat empty it asks to fasten the belt.

After quick googling I thought what I need is Sensor mat co-driver's seat identif. - 65 77 9 284 594 but then I saw the notice:

"Sensor mats for USA passenger-side seat-occupancy detection are contained in the MG52 seat padding."

What does it mean? Is there any option to replace the sensor without replacing the whole seat?

I can't help with the question, but if you want to get rid of the warning buy one of these:

Shop around for the best price.

It fools the system into thinking that the seat belt is fastened. If your passenger is on the heavy side they'll appreciate it too.

Do you happen to know if the airbag armed based on weight in seat, belt fastened or both?

In the event of an accident would be nice not to deploy the airbag unless someone is actually sitting there.
