How do you play track(s) from a iPod playlist?
iPod classic
Seriously I want to play more than one track. First of all the playlist is gone and if i find it under search which seems to be the only place with the playlist and go in and select a track it just plays that track in an endless loop even though the screen shows all the tracks and I can scroll and select any one. Driving me crazy...

iPod Classic actually is working better with the 2019 X5 than the iPod Touch or iPhone. At least I can scroll through content. But, yes, I have the endless repeat issue as well. It happens more frequently on the classic than the iPhone or the Touch, but all of them are messed up. All of this works perfectly in our other BMWs, past and present. Hoping the major software update that is now overdue fixes this among myriad other issues.

Just tried my iPod classic. Same issue, repeats the same track over and over. On a related note did anyone receive the separate owners manual for the media and entertainment features of the car?

I've got the same thing with my iPod classic, iPod touch and old iPhones that are now designated to life as iPods.
Now, I just use my iPhone through carplay if I want all of my music, but I've also dumped about 3000 of my favorites on the hard drive

I'm an old guy but enjoy using technology. How can I transfer my music collection from my iPod or PC to the hard drive in my X5? My computer is an HP running Windows 7. I have over over 100 albums, 5000+ tracks with probably 200 playlists in iTunes. Pretty sure all were downloaded from CDs as mp3 files. Thanks for helping me out. Keep it simple. Send PM if that's easier.

Went to YouTube and watched a couple videos. Successfully transferred my music out of itunes onto a USB stick. Just imported it onto the hard drive on the X5. All my albums are there but no Playlists. Not sure how to get them out of itunes as they don't show up in My Music folder on my PC. No big deal. I can just shuffle the songs using the car settings for Shuffle. Pretty cool that all the album covers show up on the display screen and you can shuffle through them very easily using the touch screen or the controller knob. Very pleased.

^^ sorry I missed that, I would have been happy to have helped you out but glad you worked it out yourself.
FWIW, I don't use folders and just play them on random too. Since I like every song I chose to add to the hard drive, I know I want to hear them all

To get them on your usb stick, in itunes select the songs you want, might limit this to a couple hundred at a time depending on the computers memory, do copy, select the usb drive and do paste. It should copy them over.

I was able to move over 3500 tracks in one action. Copied my entire Music media folder. I have an older HP PC with 8GB of memory.
It took a while to move them and took about the same amount of time to import them into the car.

Also you can leave a usb plugged into the A or C usb port and play from that if you want more than 32 gb. |
