I don't know if this will work but maybe back feed 12V through the power port.
If not fold rear seats down, remove floor cover and climb through and hook battery back up.

You can power it through the jump port in the engine bay with a jump pack.

Tried to power through the jump point, but without a battery installed to get the power cables powered properly.
The key would not even start the car when the battery buster was connected.

Wait...are you saying you tried to START the vehicle with no battery installed but a jump pack attached to the jump start terminals in the engine bay?

If that's what you tried to do...that is going to fail...you can't start the vehicle with only a jump pack and NO battery installed.

But you CAN use that jump pack attached to the terminals in the engine bay to open the tail gate. All you need is low voltage to accomplish that...which the jump pack will provide if attached to to the correct jump start locations in the engine bay.

The BST (battery safety terminal) which is attached to the positive battery cable...even when disconnected from the car's battery...is still connected to the high amp fuses as well as the other fuses. The positive jump start terminal in the engine bay is connected to the vehicles battery and BST...so even when not attached to the car's battery...as long as the BST hasn't been deployed (as in an accident)...the car can still be powered if attached to a source. Again, the source (alone) may not be able to start the car...but it can handle low voltage things like illuminating the interior lights, unlock central locking, blow the horn, etc.

You can run cars on a jump pack without a battery installed. I have done it many times.
