Dynamic Handling Package necessary?
Hello, looking for some input as my local dealer never has any 6GTs on the lot with the Dynamic Handling Package. Does this improve the handling enough to spend the $4100? I would be doing a custom order, so this is just to sort of pick brains of those who already own this vehicle. I am in the early stages of looking, and trying to decide between a 6GT, a G05 X5 or a MB E class wagon.

Have 17,000 miles on my 6GT. Have all the suspension upgrades on my ordered vehicle. Get em! Car has many personalities and can seem smaller and sporty at times. Get the 20" wheels and take the runflats off immediately. Pilot Sport 4S make the vehicle a favorite. The flat floor at the hatch floor is very very nice if you carry anything. It's fast, quiet, and handsome.

I have the DHP and IAS on mine. Didn't really had a chance to test the DHP,but I'm impressed with the IAS. it makes the car take turns like a sports car no kidding. It takes a bit to get used to it, as mentioned before the turns are so sharp that makes you think the back it's sliding. Also owning x5s and 5 series I found that driving position(height of the car) of the GT falls somewhere in between . for now I'm driving mostly in sports mode, this lowers the car and gives me the sedan feel.
On the X5 forum everyone is annoyed that they can't get the dhp with air suspension and they are paying the same price I believe. |
