I think they are OK, depending on the purpose. Can you give some more info... What size are you looking at? How much are they? If you want a reasonably priced tire in an 18", then the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S is awesome. In a 19" the options are more limited. The Kumho SPT is a great budget tire, as are the Falken Azenis ST-115. If you have more cash, consider the Bridgestone RE960AS, its a new tire that I've heard good things about.

www.1010tires.com has reviews of these tires that are not on the Tire Rack site. I suggest you look there and read the reviews. Bear in mind that most reviews are isolated - meaning that the auther doesn't have the benefit of comparison between multiple tires at the same time, like Tire Rack. However, they still give a good idea.

I'm going to go ahead and Veto Matt and 06330

Pirelli's are terrible and I will never have them on a car again if I can help it

My E90 is my second set of pirelli's and they're crap

I've burned through bridgestones, yokohamas, michelins, pirellis and the pirellis were worst by far both in performance and wear

That may be true for summer Pirelli's, but not for all season Pirellis. The folks that have driven over 7m miles on them that posted reviews on Tire Rack cannot all be wrong. In addition to the fact that this is Tire Rack's top rated all season tire, and also one of the top rated tires on www.1010tires.com. I very much doubt that they are all wrong because you had a couple of unfortunate incidents.

I have had these tires in 245/40ZR19 on my Honda CRV; and let me tell you they are superb. They handle potholes and bumps very well without any damage to the side waals of the tire.
