18 x 9 rather than 18 x 8 all around??

I see many people running staggered 18x8 front and 18x9 rear or even 18x8 all around...but has anyone used 18x9 rears all around with 38 offsets? I was debating using staggered so I could still rotate tires but all I have seen are typical setup for 18's. If so what would the best tires be without rubbing issues? Does anyone have any pics they could share with 18x9 setup?

Does anyone know if this setup would work or not? Based on the calculator this is what it comes up:
29mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 21mm
I would think it would be okay but can anyone confirm fitment?

yes tehy should fit. i ran 19x9 all around one time. but i used rear spacers to push it out. what ever the offset is, you can correct them with spacers. i dont think offset is too low.

Thx for your input...was that with the E90 or another BMW? I was worried mostly with the front since most of the applications were 8 to 8.5 for fronts and many opting for spacers for the rear. I figured with the extra half inch up front it would push out too far and hit the fender wall.

Your calculation was for 10" wheel, not 9". For 9" wheels, it's only 17mm less on strut side and 9mm extend outside

I based mine off of stock 16x7 and then to 18x9 tires depending on which size tread you want. Most common tires for 18x9 are 235x40x18.

I have 18x8.5 all around with 235/40-18. I think the offset is 37.

No rubbing. Some would say, I need rear spacers -- not me.

no rubbing of course. You don't NEED rear spacers since it's not rubbing, but you may WANT them to make the car look good.

I've got almost the same question right now..;

I'm thinkin to buy myself sum Privat Netz 19x8 in front and 19x9.5 from behind.. But they dun have 19x9.5 in stock... And it might take awhile before they have it in store...
But they do have those 19x8 in store... I think the offset was 40, I'm not sure...

My question was... 19x8 aren't they a lil bit too slim...? They aren't really wide, aren't they?
I live in Belgium... I have to import it from California to get those wheels... So that would take months before I have them...

Does anyone know who has those wheels on a E90 or another car? Curious how they look.. Cuz never have seen them in real...
