Remote Parking

Does anyone have this on their X7? I didn't see any options in the app, and I don't have a display key.

I don't think the US Models have that feature even with or through the Display Key but who knows it may have this hidden?!

I have the Display Key and don't see anything about Remote Parking. I couldn't find anything about it in the manual either.

I believe that's the next level project that BMW AI is working on. Looks like all other makers (including Audi and Benz) are trying to follow the Summon feature of Tesla's software changes.

The new X5 and X7 series hardware is probably ready for it but they are waiting on the Feds to release (approve) their R&D results on the US market. A bigger role would be for the Insurance companies to accept and understand these forthcoming changes and allow and pass the claims in case of an accident.

Everything has to change and accept the changes here; the state and fed laws, the owners, the insurance companies and so on.......

Its funny because it is available now on some of BMW's other cars like the G30 5 series.

It's not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Does your M5 have it?

Yep, just saw a video on Youtube of 2020 Hyundai Sonata. It does have the Summon feature in the remote. Watch at 6:35 here:

Cam a loooooooooooong way! I remember when it hit the shores round '87 and I went to see one out of curiosity. I also think Genesis is top ranked in reliability. I think it's top 3 and BMW round 9.

True, my friend owns the Genesis G80 and it's a beautiful car with lots of tech for under $70K.

Tough to shake that stigma from my generation though. Hyundai was always look upon as garbage, and was basically in same category as a Yugo, when it hit the shores....

Not so quick! My friend's daughter had her Hyundai Sante Fe engine replaced after 2 yrs old. Thank God it was still under warranty. It cost 8.5k. Before this, the new car was always going in for repairs. She vows never to go near any Hyundai/Kia family of cars ever. You get what you pay for.

When I travel I will opt for a Hyundai or Kia over a Toyota when given the option. At least the Hyundai's are better optioned than some of the others on the dealer lots and they've come a long way from the cars of the 80's and 90's.

I noticed on the BMW NA build page for the X7 it mentions the remote parking under the features of the display key. I reached out to the Genius who said that is a known mistake on the listing and there is a support case to get that verbiage removed. Apparently, like mentioned above, it does work on some models/regions but was a copy/paste that wasn't reviewed before posting. Bummer, would be cool. I just want my CarPlay working reliably... that would make me happy! :-)
