DP, Midpipe, or rear section?

New m2C owner and owner of many a BMW with modified exhaust. Things are less clear for me on the m2c. Here are my former cars and setups I ran:

e92 335i n54: catless downpipes, stock midpipe and rear- overly raspy
e92 335i n54: high flow cat downpipe, stock midpipe, 335is rear section- great
e92 m3: catless downpipe, resonator, high flow secondary cat, stock rear- great

I just finished break in on the m2. Will probably just run a CS map. The stock m2 comp is just a bit too muted in sound, both intake and exhaust. The burbles in sport plus are fairly loud. I plan to remove the charcoal filters and probably add BMC filters. I would like the exhaust to be 15% or so louder and I'd like to disable the ASD. For the exhaust, I am debating the following independent of eachtother:

AR Resonated Downpipe- Save 7 lbs, but lose warranty, don't really need downpipes for a mild tune like the CS

AA Midpipe- Saves 10-15 lbs I think? Smoother sound? A bit of power?

Rear Section- I would go for something fairly conservative here, maybe a (gasp) Dinan or MPE, or sport axel back, Save 10-15 lbs.

In the past I would have gone downpipes immediately but the s55 is making nearly enough power stock and therefore options 2 and 3 are a bit more appealing to maybe keep warranty.

Anyone else is going the OEM+ route please chime in.

Can't go wrong with Active Midpipe and/or REMUS exhaust

Will these 2 fit together? If so, I am about to change my mind on exhaust!

Garage List
After hearing a MPE M4 w/ catless DP's and another with comp exhaust, stock DP and no secondary's or res, I'm convinced a pair of catless DP's on the stock mid section is perfect. You get the extra sound with being too raspy/annoying with all the performance you need. The rear end would be great stock or something mild, maybe a Dinan exhaust, etc.

AA midpipe is nice because you can still use the stock muffler valves. But I'm sure it would sound great with an aftermarket muffler as well.

Honest response - No one has mated this together yet, so if you were to do it you would be the first!

Judging by how the driver's side piping comes together it might be a very close fit where the Remus would be pushed out very slightly or one of the pipes may need cutting:

We are looking for someone local to fit this combination if any OC or LA forum members are interested in this set up

This is what I've just had done yesterday. I also installed the ASD bypass and I'm eager to get out in the dry to really hear what this setup sounds like up close 😎
