Possible iPhone 3G BMW 6FL Charging Solution ($$)

Saw this today and it looks like it would work to charge the new 3G iPhone over the 6FL Y-cable connection. $40 is kind of a rip though. From previous threads, it appears Apple broke our 6FL charging by removing support for firewire charging and converting to USB charging only. The 6FL uses the firewire charging circuitry in the first gen. iPhone to charge. Given this company designed an adaptor so quickly, this makes me more optimistic BMW can fairly easily design a new 6FL Y-cable that incorporates the circuitry to make the 3G iPhone charge. |
