TPMS question

Hi everyone. I have style 302 wheels from a

a 7series with TPMS on it already. Will that work

with the 2013 X3?

Thank you

I can only give you a "probably yes" answer. The F25 used PN 36106856227 from 2010-2014. The 2010 7 series used PN 36236798726 which was later superseded to the '227 part. What this means is that you may already have the same sensor since the date ranges overlap. The newer sensor should be backward compatible. I'm just not sure if the older sensor is forward compatible.

It's not clear why TPM sensors are so varied within the BMW line, but I also acquired some Series 7 wheels and sensor (from F01 model) and they were not recognized by my 5 series (F10). Since these were for winter tires, I just installed rubber valve stems and lived with the "tire" light on my dash. And it gets even stranger. I also acquired a set of wheels and sensors from an early model F10 and these work only partially with my '16 F10. They do not cause a "tire" light, but will not provide tire-pressure info on my center display.
