Launch control problems

Well I have being trying out launch control but I can't seem to get my rpm above 2600. It stays stable and won't keep increasing the rpms. I did see a video were you can select the rpm were u wanna launch using the cruise control button ( when the flag are on display ).
Any advise?

You can not increase the LC rpm on the M5 due to the torque converter.

you may be thinking about the f80 or f10 with DCT.
this is a fixed rpm for LC

I'm sure BMW considered the benefit of a higher stall speed versus the drawbacks of less efficiency in the higher gears. With a first gear transmission ratio of 5:1 and the rpm this engine starts putting up serious torque numbers, I doubt more rpms at launch would drop the elapsed time much.
