Rearview Camera Malfunction?

Recently started getting an error on my dash when I turn off my car saying "Rearview Camera Malfunction" - however the camera works perfectly fine.

Is this something I should be concerned about and would this be in the manufacturers warranty since I only have 43K miles and it lasts 50K?

Thanks.

It should definitely be something covered under warranty if you still have coverage. I'm assuming you aren't past 4 years either. Remember, it's whichever comes first, 4 years or 50k miles.

There is probably something wrong with a control signal or something. There's a chance it will eventually get worse and your rearview camera will fail completely. So if you're out of warranty, then you're out of luck. Definitely get it to the dealership to get it fixed. If they claim they can't fix it, save all documentation since you're coming up on end of warranty. Make sure to show the service advisor the warning message. Don't let them tell you that they couldn't reproduce the issue.

If yours is a 2015, I would see when the 4 year mark is. It could've expired already if it was purchased before May. If yours is a CPO, then it should be covered.
