SensaTec Dash 4AW MY2020
I noticed this in the 2020 ordering guide as a standard, but apparently no discussion on it yet. For those who don't have the full leather dashboard option, are you satisfied with the dash finish in the 2019? I have SensaTec seats in my 2010 135 that have held up great parking outside, but I've never had, nor really desired a leather dash. Like others, I'm weighing my options between 2019 and 2020 and I'm not sure how much of a difference the new dash would make.

I've had both non and leather dash. It looks nice etc. but, for me, it really is one of those options that is not needed if it costs extra. Same with the crystal shifter. The few times I have had leather dash is because it came as part of a package with other things I wanted. The only place I really get "cosmetic" is with wheels. The wrong wheels can really make a car look like crap.

Aren't both the xLine and Sport dashes Sensatec for 2019? I thought the difference was that the xLine has stitching and the MSport does not. If it is not Sensatec in the MSport, what is it made of?
We think our stitched dash looks real good. If they continue doing non-stitched on the MSport then on my next I will probably get the leather for the stitching. |

For 2020, all xLine and M Sport will have SensaTec covered dash with stitching standard.

I'm sure someone with an MSport will chime in. They didn't have the dash listed at all in the 2019 Guide so maybe it is just a case of them adding it to be complete. Or perhaps they are standardizing and putting the same dash in both. Guess we will find out in a few months.
Edit: Thanks for the info above, that answered my question while I was typing my post. |
