Has anyone else experienced a buzzing sound with the in-dash front speaker or rear C-pillar speakers in the B&W sound system?

I just picked up my new X5 Thursday, and I'm sorely disappointed I paid so much extra $$ for this option.

I ran a frequency sweep and the center speaker resonates/buzzes around 230Hz (I believe it's the metal plate on top that's the culprit). The rear c-pillar speakers resonate/buzz at two different frequency zones, and they don't match. I'll have to gather more data tomorrow since I don't want to upset my neighbors.

I'm scheduled to bring this in to the dealer Monday and will let everyone know what their solution is to fix this.

I have buzzing (not the plate) in my B pillar speaker. Whenever mid-level bass songs play, when the beat kicks in it buzzes. I haven't had a chance to take it to the dealer yet, but am planning to. I will also try to run a sweep soon. Let us know your findings!

.
What did you use to run the frequency sweep? I would like to do that same as I keep fiddling with the settings and would like to get a true baseline as settings changes as I change music from Rap to Rock to Classical.

Keep me posted on your findings too as I really love the system but I feel it could be much better. I do have a spike in the sound level as I change presets from Stereo to Lounge, etc which doesn't seem right.... and also have some volume oscillation at times. Might need to have take it in too.

I would also like to know what you used to run the frequency sweep. Will these work? https://www.audiocheck.net/testtones...itionaudio.php

@thomas_Rp, yes, those HD test files should work via USB.

I went a simpler, albeit less hi-if route and used the following iPhone apps via Bluetooth - Tone Gen and Sonic. This helped me locate and isolate the offending frequencies.

My BMW dealership removed the center speaker cover and C-pillar plastics and attached foam to everything... cleared most of the buzzing and rattles but the center speaker rattle is back. I'll have to make an appointment to give the technician another shot at it.

I don't know if it helps but I wrote my own Python script to do a sweep (scipy.signal.chirp). I use Pythonista as the interpreter on the iPhone. It can also send specific frequencies.
