22" Winters?!?

I have the OEM 22" wheels and I love the look. I generally don't like to downsize my wheels for winter as I love the look of big wheels year round. Don't want to ride around on 20s for half the year basically. Not an option for me...

That said, does anyone make a 22" winter tire?

Pirelli P Zero All Season. They come staggered in 22". However I see you are in Canada and all-season may not work. I think everyone on the X5 and X7 forums with 22's is trying to find a non-RFT that is either all season or winter rated so they do not have to buy another set of wheels. This is the only one I could find that is all-season and non-RF. Hopefully there are more options when winter arrives.

I found a 22' winter option for Canada. There is a Pirelli Scorpion that comes in the required staggered 22' option. I found them online at PMC Tire which I have used a few times in the past with positive results. Fronts go for $549 CAD and rears go for $711 CAD + tax with free shipping. I too have struggled historically with the downgrade of smaller rims for the winter season.

Same! I found the same Pirellis this morning.

Local tire shop quoted me $2,400 tax in, which is a lot better then the numbers you posted above (which is also what I found online).

Going to go with that for sure! The local tire guy tried convincing me to go 20" set up and will cost even a bit less but I told him I'm not interested!

I'm likely going to go with the same setup. What wheels are you guys getting?

What tire shop in the GTA quoted you $2400 tax in? I was quoted $2750. Do you mind letting me know. Thanks.

Doesn't look like there's anything for the US yet. Hopefully soon.

Curious - since they're all season, would you just use them in the cooler months and put the summer tires back on when the temps warm up?

Nova99, I did see the ones you quoted above through Tirerack.com, but it shows B Bentley like your photo. I assumed that meant it was OEM for Bentleys. Thats not the case? BMW Tire Center does not show them as an available tire they sell.

I just spoke to a customer service rep at TireRack and they said they can only sell this tire to Bentley dealerships, and so it should not be listed on their website as an option to purchase. Looks like back to the drawing board...

Anyone have any luck yet?

I still see the same tires showing at TireRack, so I will probably check with them again.

My local Discount Tire store is ordering the 22" P Zero All Seasons for me. Said they could get them out of California. Should arrive this week.

I had them check on the Scorpion Winters also, and they could get the fronts but not the rears yet.

I just ordered mine today from Discount Tire. And they'll store them until I actually decide to put them on. Nice...

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a 22' winter set up as the snow can fly anytime here in Calgary which I have found for a decent price online as I have mentioned above, however I'm a little confused as to the rim sizing. I called my home dealership yesterday and was told rim sizing was as follows:

Fronts - 9.5 X 22, 5 X 112, 37 Offset
Rears - 10.5 X 22, 5 X 112, 43 Offset

Will the same size rims work for front and rear if I went with 10 X 22 and does the offset have to be dead on? I have found a few decent reasonably priced options out there but as far as I can tell they don't offer different sizing for the front and rears.

You need to plug in the OEM size that you have with what you want to go with to see if it will fit. Lots of variables at play:

Just curious, you're buying 22" wheels? I was planning to use the stock wheels and just buy 22" rubber for them and swap them every season.
