Are you saying that you achieved 38.2mpg with your cruise set at 89? For what distance, the entire 600 miles?

Very respectable. You beat advertised figures and with the front end of the 2019 model being so flat, at 79mph I think thats pretty dang good. So, for those who want the X5 performance but only use it once in a while and also like fuel economy, the X5 delivers both.
