Problems with New Gauge Cluster

I went to a pick and pull junkyard and pulled a new gauge cluster for my 2011 328i e90 out of a e92 328xi that I'm not sure the year but it may of been a pre-lci. I did this because the new one has an oil temperature gauge where my original one had mpg. I thought I would have to code it in but after plugging it in the gauge and everything worked perfect except in the iDrive under Vehicle Info>Vehicle Status the service required and check control screen now have blank spots and all my dates and miles for oil changes and other maintenance is gone. Also two new items have appeared "§ Vehicle inspection" and "§ Emission inspection".
Not sure exactly why this is but if anyone knows how I could go about fixing these menus and still keep this new cluster. Below I have some pictures of what it looks like.

You will need to code the KOMBI module. I don’t know specifically what values must be changed or if other modules will require coding, but it should definitely be possible.

Think you might have fd up already, might always have that tamper dot since you didn’t code first.

If you really want this to be right, apparently you'll have to "virginize" the KOMBI.

Check out posts by LMB335IS - this is from him, lightly edited:

"The KOMBi will show the tamper dot and be uncodeable until the VIN matches the rest of the car. To change the VIN the cluster (KOMBI) needs to be disassembled, eeprom read out with a programmer, edited in a hex editor, and either blank out the VIN or enter the last 7 of the car its going in, and put back together. Now you can code it, which will write the VIN if it was blanked out, and code it according to the VO."

That was risky. If that cluster had higher miles than your original car, it would have reprogrammed the mileage counter on every single module to the higher value. This happened to a guy last year or so - he went from 100k miles to 200k miles because he didn't know what he was doing, and there's no way to fix it.

In any case you definitely need to code it to your car and you'd be wise to change the VIN as well.

Actually, you should have just swapped over the gage face for the oil temp and simply recoded your original cluster to enable temp display instead of MPG.

Might want to get in touch with LMB335IS. I know he offers remote coding, probably for a small fee.

If I were to plug the old cluster in do you think all the errors would go away or did I make any permanent mistakes. My mileage did not change so I got very lucky there.
Also if someone knows exactly what to change in the kombi module that would be great. I have it backed up from a couple months ago when I coded in a digital speedometer if that is useful.

BMW does a lot of technical things to prevent exactly what you did: putting a junker KOMBI in another car.

You need expert help for this, interactively with someone who has dealt with it.

Advise you make the contact as noted above, since you won't solve this on a forum thread.

Tamper dot will disappear once the VIN is changed to the correct VIN. You can reinstall your original cluster and it should go back to exactly the way it was when you removed it for the time being until you get done what needs to be done to your replacement cluster. IG clustersandcoding for more help
