BG Performance Oil Change?
My indy recommends this, especially for BMW's that did the 15k interval's. I bought mine used with 62k. Most of this oil changes were within 7.5k, but a couple were at 15k.
What do you guys think? https://www.facebook.com/benzandbmwr...type=2&theater Last edited by jay-rock; 08-04-2019 at 01:06 PM.. |

My mech adds BG MOA with my oil changes; it's a friction reducer/anti oxidation additive. I researched and it looked like a genuinely good product. I've got 260k on the clock so I'll do anything to help the old girl out. Having said that, there's a lot of snake oil out there, and even the same company can sell BS right next to something that does work.

My car has 378,800 miles. 4 oil changes at 18,000+; 4 oil changes at 17,000+; 4 oil changes at 16,000+; and since 221,000 miles... 18 oil changes at 10,000 miles. Just change the oil with good quality synthetic 5W-30 LL-01 spec oil and a MANN HU-816x or OE oil filter and the engine will last you for a very long time. If your car had 15,000 OCI with LL-01 oil and an OEM filter, it will not need any BG oil change.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

If you drive 5K per year, then no. Otherwise, yes.
