Recently acquired a used E92 335i with only 34k after finally letting go of my E46 328i with 200k on the odometer. Was excited to find one with such low miles and great options and had to jump on the opportunity. (It also came with a Dinan exhaust as an added bonus)
I've been wanting to get this car for quite some time now and have certainly been enjoying the experience over this first month of ownership. I've already had the chance to get my hands dirty as I've replaced the DMTL pump and painted the brake rotor drums black to eliminate rust. Of course, I'm just getting started as I have a mental list of 100 other things that I'm waiting to do on her before it gets too cold. Up next will be oil change, tints, paint correction, ceramic coating, black kidneys....the list goes on. Having spent some time on the E46 forums, I know how great of a resource this outlet can be and I'm excited to be able to be a part of it. Looking forward to many miles of happy driving. -Nick |

That's for sure - seems as though the previous owner was a rich guy who probably only used the car on the weekends. He still had his addresses programmed into the Nav when I got it. Primary home address was on Park Ave in Manhattan with a secondary address in a small town in CT. I'm hoping he kept it in CT to avoid those awful NYC streets.
Funny how it's so easy to forget to clear that kind of info before getting rid of the car |

Considering his address the maintenance was likely all done at a dealer, with nothing overlooked. Is it a 2011? Appears so as I believe the shifter changed to that crappy joystick thing in 2012.

It's actually a 2013 model year with a build date in mid 2012. I've only ever seen that joystick shifter on the 335is but I'm not sure if that was definitely the only model that got it.

Welcome man! That is a really clean, late model E92! Tons of info on the forums. What are your plans/goals with it?

Cosmetic Plans: -Paint correction / ceramic coating -Dent repair -20% tints -Gloss black kidneys -Painted gloss black brake calipers -Black roof wrap -Removed xDrive badges -Black or removed 335i trunk emblem -Smoked side marker lights -Paint matched front bumper reflectors -Repainted front bumper -Possibly a modest carbon fiber front lip and trunk lip Performance Plans: -Dinan exhaust (came on car) -Dinan suspension when OE parts wear out -Possibly set of black wheels -xHP -xDelete -Upgraded chargepipe -Possibly catless DP -Possibly MHD (would add a FMIC with this) Some of the performance plans are tentative as the car is my DD for what is currently a long daily commute so reliability and usability has to take precedence. Not sure how much my neighbors would appreciate me starting my car with DP and exhaust at 5:45am every morning. Also I have to consider that in CT I will need to pass inspection and I don't know how much I trust the effectiveness of the current DP oxygen sensor fixes. Perhaps my biggest obstacle is that I don't love the idea of having to send my DME in the mail for a benchflash and losing the use of my car for a couple days. God forbid the carrier lost the package. I guess we will have to see how bad I want that extra power as time goes on.... I do love having a car that's gotten me excited about getting back in the garage. |

Man, I must be getting old! I see this list of mods and just think 'did you even want this car?'... It's a beauty, there's no need to go tinkering with it!
But it's your car, not mine, so enjoy it! Also I'm the mug who's busy putting M3 suspension parts on a diesel, so it would seem that I'm a complete hypocrite too |
