Alignment now or after wheels
Just installed some lowering springs on my e93 ( which I dont reccomend doing). But now I need an alignment badly BUT this Saturday I'll be getting a new set of wheels. I'm going from 17s to 18s so should I get the alignment after the wheels or go ahead and get it done now?

I would wait for the springs to settle a little bit (~200 miles) and then go for an alignment. Wheels don't matter for an alignment, in fact I would rather use the old wheels since alignment machines can leave marks on wheels.

Ummm no....
first off most alignment shops will be rough on your wheels, so I'd do it now if you are ditching the wheels... wheels and alignment have nothing to do with each other. New wheels will still be in alignment... Unless the current wheel is extremely bent it isn't going to change anything to get it done now. Now letting your suspension settle in after the new components is a good plan. then do an alignment. |
