water stains on window shadowline trim

anyone else having issues with water stains on the shadowline trim that surrounds the windows? it's really an eye sore...and difficult to remove. any suggestions?
i think it's really silly that the exterior of these cars are so prone to etching from bird doo, as well as simple water stains.
