Front windshield keyed over the the weekend
Over this past weekend, some idiot had the bright idea to key my windshield. It runs up and down the entire driver's side. Anywho, I was wondering what is the procedure to getting your windshield replaced through BMW
Thanks |

They need to order the correct windshield depending on your options, and then have it installed

how could someone go to great lengths to put marks on ur windshield when more damage could be done to paint on body panel? I just hope it doesn't happen to me. So far, I am clean for 6 months!!!

Some girl once posted about her car being keyed before she realized that they were just spider webs.

i can't imagine they got too deep unless they brought a dremel with them to do the damage --
maybe before you look for a replacement you should try some of the glass polishers out there. zaino makes one which i used over the weekend for the first time. worked EXCELLENT on glass, but I don't know if it will be enough to remove the mark. |

Yes, try and repair before replacing & talk to a speciaslist. It's very difficult for a replaced windshield to sit as perfectly as one factory installed. I replaced one on my e30 M3 and they could never get that thing to stop from whistling.
