SSTT installation help

Hi guys

I bought an SSTT a month or so ago, and have just got around to trying to fit. I have declared the mod to insurance co and as I am paying £150 extra plus £250 extra on excess I want to fit ASAP.

So I opened the bonnet and WOW, how the hell is this done? I can't even see the TMAP sensor, I think a pipe is in the way. Been following the instructions on:

http://www.splitsec.com/products/ins...erInstRevB.pdf

I have searched the forums too.

I am useless at this sort of thing, but I did manage to install the THA275 amp upgrade with tweeters so maybe I am not that useless.

Maybe someone can give me a hand for $

Thanks

Ooooooooooookay, I am really useless at this stuff and I managed. There was a thin black pipe in my car that wasn't as per the pipe located in the instruction sheet that caused all sorts of problems for me so I simply unclipped it so that I could get both my arms in. The TMAP sensor is beneath a thicker ribbed pipe further down and I located it with a torch. I tried various tools but in the end the supplied guitar thingy worked.
I had to unclip it while using my 'spare' fingers to push down on the bit that needed to be released. It took me about 10 minutes of fiddling.

When I sold my 335i last week I enlisted the help of my wife whose arms are thinner and she pulled down on the SSTT while I unclipped it. Making room by unclipping the thin black pipe higher up made a major difference though!

Hope you manage it soon - you'll notice a very nice increase in power
