Dilemma: get the color and wheels I want or Driving Assistance Pro?
I will preface this by sayin that I am beholden to dealer stock, as I have a 2.5k mile road trip I am taking in a month, so ordering a car is not going to be an option at this time.
The dealer has a 62.5k MSRP Alpine White with 792m wheels and all the other options I would really want or need EXCEPT Driver Assistance Pro. The other car they have is a 65k MSRP Portimao Blue with 793m wheels with the same options plus HK, and then the Drivers Assistance Pro. I am a bit torn as to what to do. I am coming from an Estroil Blue M235, so I was pretty excited to go back to White, and the 792s look so damn good on AW. On the flip side, I love Portimao Blue and could easily live with the color, but really not a fan of the 793s. So it really comes down to Drivers Assist Pro. I live in Chicago, so regardless there is pretty much always traffic on the highways. I take the train into work during the summer, but will likely drive more in the winter, which is where DAP would be very useful. Just seeing what the forum would say about choosing the color/wheels I want vs. missing out on the DAP package. Thanks! Edit: I am likely leasing this car, so its a matter of living with or without the things mentioned above for 3 years |

Wheels are always something that could be swapped out in the future. You can't add DAP at a later date, so go with that now!

No chance the Dealer will swap wheels on the cars?
I’ve had that done (once) in the UK

I will try to plead my case for that. If they could do that it would be a no brainer...I’d just get Alpine White on the next one. I did ask my CA but he said the cars need to stick with their original build. Could try to take it to the GM if that fails though

Agreed lack of HK is a deal breaker for me too. Regarding DAP, have you had that type of tech before? I find I rarely use it on our Audi and it isn't that great either so opted to not spec it on my G20. If you do a lot of road trips or non traffic commuting it is useful but otherwise for urban driving it's not useful IMO. I went with the $500 blind spot and lane departure system.

I agree about the DAP technology. I think it's cool, but in reality I don't know if I'll use it all that much, and it's probably not worth the extra cost for me right now. I went and sww the car that I originally wanted and the white/wheel combination is just too good. Going to pass on HK and DAP for this one |

Let me think on this. The wheels I want vs. the car I want? Miss America with a slight limp vs. a pig with sparkling shoes?

Looks like you must have missed the color part. I don't need DAP necessarily, but the more I think about it the blue just isn't what I want. Especially with the 793 wheels.

I like portimao blue as a color but not on this car for some reason. Maybe the cerium issue. White, black, and tanzanite look great IMO I'd chose color and wheels as a priority too if you're stuck for options.
