What is this - RED thing above the speedometer?

So just got my 330e delivered.
what I noticed, is that camera catches the red lights (top of speedometer) while my eyes do not.

is this some sensors or anything else?

It's the driver attentiveness camera. Checks you are looking at the road and monitors for drowsiness etc.

no, I do not.
I was really surprised, that my eyes did not see anything (black/dark) but on camera - it's on.

The camera has higher refresh rate than your eyes, its called persistence of vision

I don't think that's correct.

It's infrared light that human eye can't see. Camera can see it.
You can try it with your TV remote control.
